About the Artists
Josef Camacho is a former Texas public school teacher and coach. Josef grew up in East Texas and found his love for writing in high school while attending Subiaco Academy in Subiaco, Arkansas. He continued his education and graduated from the University of Arkansas with a BS Kinesiology.
Josef was Teacher of the Year, Hempstead High School 2022.
Josef left the public school system to pursue writing full-time after the 2022 academic year and now resides in the DFW Metroplex where his media company, DFWcopy, is based.
Emma McDaniel is Josef’s younger sister, and the artist responsible for the cover art for Pick Up this book of Poetry. Emma operates One in Emillion Design Co. Emma is a former pre-school director and teacher. Emma lives in Texas with her husband, Ryan.

Josef teaches and coaches in public schools.
He retires in 2022 from teaching after being named Teacher of the Year.

Covid
Josef rediscovers his love for writing during quarantine and decides to pursue a career in writing.
